Charlie did the painting but Gail had a few technical issues uploading! Success at last. There is some flicker. That's my next technical issue to resolve for the next video.

I’m so pleased that you enjoy them.
You are a wonderful artist.❤
Thank you so much.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you.
I am learning so much from you, thank you! What I really appreciate is that you show how you draw, then paint. The drawing part was always difficult for me but with your teaching I am advancing and more confident in my work. Again, thank you. Please keep making videos.
I am so pleased that they’re proving useful to you.
Very nice. Thank you
Thank you too
Thanks so much always pleased to see you both!
Thank you too.
Charles, today you showed me how to actually find the zen in my drawing. The delicate and purposeful, lines you that make when you draw have shown me its not about time but the immersion of your subject that makes your paintings better.. Watching you how calmly you go about your art has shown I shown me that I really need to slow down when I draw and not be in rush to paint. My new manta is: Work slow and increase my focus.
I’m so pleased that it’s helped you.
Hello, Charles. Lovely painting. Thanks to your watercolor pencils tutorials, I've recently subscribed to your channel. You have shown me a whole new side of watercolors that I want to try out. I have also purchased your book Quick & Clever Watercolor Pencils. I hope you continue making more videos like this one. 😊
I’m so pleased that you enjoyed it.
Charles and Gail… I LOVE your banter!! And your art and teaching!! Thank you! Please, let me know if I’ve spelled your name correctly, Gail! NEVERMIND… I’ve checked in one of my many wonderful Charles Evans books! Dedicated to GAIL!! Lovely!!
I’m so pleased that you enjoyed it. And yes, you’re one of the few that has spelt it correctly!
charles we are so lucky down here in suffolk there is so much beautiful countryside and coastline for artists.
I’m the same up here in Northumberland.
I‘ve just found you, from checking out videos and books while awaiting the arrival of some watercolour pencils. I normally photograph but felt the need to do something else! Have just bought 2 of your e-books. I was delighted to see you attempting an Aussie image as I was wondering how I was going to practice with all the English projects in your books! Softer light there, whereas ours is harsh, and yes, you can feel the heat in this image. Your demo was mesmerising! Will probably changeover to watercolour tubes soon, after watching you. The eucalypts weren‘t too bad either!
I’m so pleased that that you enjoyed it. First one I’ve done, I’ll make a better job of them next time.
Great painting and well explained Charles 👍🏼👍🏼
Great timing on this video. Though I live in the states and have very close friends who live in Northamptonshire. I am trying to compose a painting from a photo of a park situated close to their home that has a great spread of bluebells and many, many trees at multiple distances. You have helped me immensely with this video. I am now debating whether to paint in Acrylic or watercolor. P.S. Don't let the age of 70 disturb you. I am 71 and just now getting to spend time on painting. You have been a great motivator for me.
I’m so pleased that it’s been useful for you. I seriously think that age is just what you make of it!
@@charlesevans7706 Agreed, age is what you make of it and painting is keeping me young. Thank you.
Brilliant tutorial.and love the banter between the two of you, give us more of the same. Thanks DK
I’m pleased that you enjoyed it.
Another nice painting Charles thank you for sharing
You’re welcome.
Superb watercolor as always Charles, and always this dexterity that I admire (... but that I despair of acquiring!).
It all comes with practice.
Charles, your paintings are wonderful, I became your fan, congratulations 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you so much.
Wish I could draw like you Charles 😢
It all takes practice.
Wow looks so good. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

I’m so pleased that you are enjoying them. Thank you very much.
I like the way you draw freehand, especially with the horizon line. Interestingly, where the Cobalt Blue meets the Yellow Ochre, it doesn’t turn green.
No by the time the blue gets to the yellow it’s very weak at that point!
Molto bello Maestro 👏👏👏
Thank you so so much.
Hello, was that cold pressed paper? Thank You for sharing 😊

Well that's my painting fix till the next time, with your sharp witted banter, but i don't like women being treated so cruelly. So if i see it again i will have to report it to the R.S for C. T. W Nice picture though🤣
Ahahaha
love to see Gail paint and you film ,would be interesting indeed ,thank you both for your time ,

I love your pictures, but this palette make scare.
Ahahaha.
Wow! This was wonderful! I found your channel recently here on UA-cam. I love your videos and your sense of humor . I learned very much. Thanks!!!
I’m so pleased that you’re enjoying them.
The colors in this painting are wonderfully compatible with one another. I loved watching the trees slowly emerge as groupings as you scribbled. And when you activated the pigments - voila, just magnificent! I ‘ve just begun exploring water color pencils and learning different techniques. I love watching you work your magic. Thank you, Charles. Linda
Thank you so much.
Beautiful!
Thank you very much.
Love your technique and use of water colour pencils. Just brilliant Charles 👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you so much.
Wow! Thank You so much for this amazing experience! I’ve always been a bit apprehensive about using watercolors, especially watercolor pencils! Thanks to you, I’m going to give them a try! Hoping for the best! Thanks again!❤
